This summer has proven to be a jam packed season full of stampede breakfasts, community BBQs and exploring the riding of Calgary Mackay Nose Hill! I was able to attend the Evanston Creekside Community Association Stampede Breakfast and the Huntington Hills Community Association Stampede Breakfast, both on July 14! Many pancakes were consumed over the 10 day Stampede craze at events hosted by organizations and community groups like the Westside Calgary Chinatown District, Equal Voices, Women United, the Pembina Institute, the Repsol Sports Centre, and many more!
In the next few weeks left of summer, I will be in the community discovering local businesses like Seniore’s Pizza on Beddington, the Bro’Kin Yolk , Vibes Coffee Bar, and JP’s Indian Bistro, all of which are found in Evanston. As I #DiscoverCalgaryMackayNoseHill I encourage you to do the same and support local businesses, not only within the city of Calgary, but also within the constituency and your neighbourhoods.
Are you a business owner in the riding? Reach out to my office and tell me your story!
I hope to join you, your families, and your communities at upcoming BBQ’s in the neighbourhood and at the many upcoming events in Calgary. Follow me @MLA_Karen and share with me what festivals you are checking out this summer!
